Reed (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Oklahoma State University. He is interested in how bacteria used secondary metabolites to mediate interspecies cooperation and competition in oral and respiratory microbiomes. Prior to this position, Reed was a postdoctoral research fellow with Cameron Currie at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a graduate student with Paul Straight at Texas A&M University. Outside of the laboratory, Reed spends his time running, homebrewing, and playing tabletop games.
